Kakuri Ryoba Japanese double-sided wood saw
The Ryoba saws have a characteristic saw blade that is ground on both sides. One side is meant for shortening and the other especially for straight cutting (saw in the direction of the fiber). The Ryoba cuts quickly and efficiently without having to change the saw or saw blade.
This traditional Ryoba saw has very good cutting characteristics and can be used for the finer sawing. Use this handy Ryoba for example for model building and instrument building. The saw is traditionally equipped with a wooden handle and a razor sharp sharpened saw blade in two different lengths
The saw has a three-sided cut trapezoidal toothing (17 TPI) on the short side. The shell side of the saw blade is provided with a triangle toothing that increases to 7 TPI. The blades of this Ryoba are hardened but the teeth can be ground.
Replacement blades are not available.
This knife comes with plastic cover.
