Iroko wood (Milicia excelsa) - straight -
Iroko wood,
Iroko (Milicia excelsa) has a beautiful golden brown to golden brown color and can resemble teak. It is therefore used as a teak substitute. Often beautiful drawings occur in the wood caused by wavy wire.
The wood may have internal stresses that cause it to warp when sawing. Once processed and dry, the wood is fairly stable. The wood is easy to work with. Good extraction is necessary because the ingredients can cause irritation in susceptible persons.
Iroko is a stable and strong type of wood and can be used for many purposes both indoors and outdoors. Iroko is also widely used in shipbuilding as a replacement for teak.
