This handmade handle of Japanese "Rosewood" wood (Dalbergia latifolia) has a lightly marbled buffalo horn bolster. Rosewood is also called Palissander in Dutch. Rosewood is a noble, heavy, dark wood with a very fine structure. This wood is also used in luxury products such as pens, guitars, chess pieces, etc.
