Katsumoto 間ノ岳, Aino-dake Kiritsuke petty,

Double-sided sharpened and laminated (Sanmai) stainless steel blade with a core of Japanese AUS8 steel. The blade is extremely thin and manually sharpened and has no thickenings, which makes sharpening on Japanese water stones very easy. This elegant knife has a beautiful large handle made of exclusive Ebony wood, which gives the knife a very luxurious look. The knife is also available in a larger version of 210 mm and comes in a luxurious wooden box.

The stainless core steel is forged between two layers of softer steel, this outer layer is made of steel with a beautiful 'fog' pattern. It also ensures that the core steel is well protected against possible damage and oxidation.

This blade is fully customizable. You can have your name engraved on the knife and in the optional wooden box to create a unique gift for yourself or a friend. We can engrave logos, pictures or names. we can also provide a professional "hand lettering" service if you would like your name or the recipient's name written in a professional manner!

間ノ岳, Aino-dake), or Ainodake, is a peak of the Akaishi Mountains-Southern Alps, in Minami Alps National Park, Japan. At 3,189 m, it is the fourth highest mountain in Japan and the second highest in the Akaishi Mountains.

Hosokawa Katsumoto (1430-1473) was a Shogun governor in the 15th century and a key figure in Japan's Onin War. With more than 80,000 men, he fought against his father Yamana Sozen in the former capital of Kyōto. After 10 years of war, Kyōto was devastated and neither side could lay claim to victory.
