Motosuke Nagao Higonokami VG-10 Outdoor Tsuchime 'Limited Edition'
This now very scarce version of the well-known Japanese Higonokami knife has a core of Japanese VG-10 steel (stainless) with a matte-coated stainless steel handle. This double-sided sharpened knife is completely hand-forged by the only master smith who is allowed to make Higonokami knives (Motosuke Nagao). The blade is sturdy and manually sharpened and is very easy to sharpen yourself. Please note that the stated length is measured incl. the Chikiri (lever), the cutting length of the blade for a 100mm Higonokami is approximately 75mm. This is measured according to the traditional Japanese method. Please note that all sizes mentioned may deviate by a few mm, this is due to the fact that these blades are forged by hand.
This specific version has been developed for outdoor use at the campsite or during trips into nature. The rust resistance of the blade and the fact that this knife is very easy to take apart makes it a perfect travel partner. The knife comes in a nice artificial leather case.
