Shigeki Tanaka Majiro bread knife,

This very light Japanese bread knife/slicing knife has a core of Japanese Ginsan (stainless) carbon steel with a sanmai outer layer. This double-sided sharpened knife is completely hand-forged by one of our favorite knife smiths Shigeki Tanaka. The blade is very thin and manually sharpened and has no thickenings, making sharpening very easy. This knife is designed for cutting bread without crumbs, but can also be used for slicing roast meat, raw fish, etc.
