Katsumoto Ainodake series set of petty, nakiri and Kiritsuke-gyuto

Double-sided sharpened and laminated (Sanmai) blade made of stainless steel with a core of Japanese AUS-8 steel. The blade is extremely thin and manually sharpened and has no thickenings, which makes sharpening on Japanese water stones very easy. These knives are very beautifully sharpened and offer an unprecedented price/quality ratio.

The stainless core steel is forged between two layers of softer steel. It also ensures that the core steel is well protected against possible damage and oxidation.

These knives are fully customizable, you can have your name or signature engraved in the knife yourself. This allows you to create a unique gift for yourself or a friend. We can engrave logos, images or names. We can also offer a professional "hand lettering" service if you want your name or the name of the recipient to be written in a professional way!

Hosokawa Katsumoto (1430–1473) was a governor of the Shogun in the 15th century and a key figure in the Japanese Onin War. With over 80,000 men, he fought in the former capital of Kyoto against his father Yamana Sozen. After 10 years of war, Kyoto was destroyed and neither side could claim victory.

Mount Aino (間ノ岳, Aino-dake), or Ainodake, is a peak of the Akaishi Mountains in the Southern Alps, in Minami Alps National Park, Japan. With an elevation of 3,190 m (10,466 ft), it is the third highest peak in Japan and the second highest in the Akaishi Mountains.
